Haiti Relief Response
The Mount Sinai Medical Center is coordinating its efforts with federal, state, and local agencies providing Haiti with needed medical supplies and assistance.
The New York State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) has asked that individuals not travel to Haiti unless they are part of an approved relief effort. The Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), of which Mount Sinai is a member, urges those interested in helping to make financial contributions to organizations on the attached list.
The American Red Cross has asked for Creole-speaking volunteers to serve as translators willing to deploy on Monday. Please notify Marianne Coughlin at marianne.coughlin@mountsinai.org if you are interested in this volunteer opportunity.
In addition, Mount Sinai employees wishing to volunteer their services to the Haitian relief effort should send an e-mail to HaitiRelief@mountsinai.org. Individuals will be notified about volunteer opportunities as they become available.
